Are You Ready to SCORE?

Welcome to the Simcoe County Over-30 Rec Hockey League!

The league was established in 1991 over beer and wings, as an alternative to the highly competitive and unbalanced leagues in the area. The Molson Sportsman Hockey League would be known for fun and community fellowship – a long-standing tradition that continues today.

In the summer of 2022, the MSHL was rebranded as the Simcoe County Over-30 Recreational Hockey League – or SCORE-HL, for short. Under the direction of the new league owners, Mark Froats and Rob Elrick, the SCORE-HL continues to be the best place to play safe and fun hockey in Barrie and the surrounding areas.

Anyone who is 30 years or older is welcome to register for the league – there are no restrictions on skill level. Everyone is welcome in the SCORE-HL! All players are rated, and then the Team Captains draft from the registered base of players to ensure well-balanced teams are created each season.

The league plays twice a week at the Angus Recreation Centre and Barrie’s Allandale Rec Centre and Eastview Arenas. Our season consists of approximately 30 regular season games plus 14 playoff games.
